Job Description
People Operations Manager modernizing HR systems, compliance, and employee workflows at Mixpanel, a product intelligence and analytics platform. Leading scalable technology programs across the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Lead HR operations programs end-to-end, defining scope, owners, milestones, risks, and success measures
- Own core People technology platforms, including configuration, upgrades, and feature evaluation
- Lead technology deployments, platform conversions, and module rollouts across IT, HRIS, and vendor teams
- Research HR technology trends and maintain a People technology roadmap
- Apply AI and emerging tools to improve People Operations workflows
- Establish and enforce data governance standards across HR systems
- Design and implement a tiered HR support model with ownership, escalation paths, and service levels
- Map workflows across People, Payroll, Finance, and IT to reduce manual work and maximize automation
- Author and maintain the function-level SOP and documentation library
- Own compliance for I-9/E-Verify, records retention, and system access auditing
- Monitor employment law and data privacy developments and translate them into compliant configurations and workflows
- Manage EOR and software vendor relationships, escalations, and accountability conversations
- Facilitate alignment among managers, HR leadership, and diverse stakeholders
Requirements:
- Experience owning People Operations programs in a high-growth technology environment
- Experience serving as a functional owner or administrator for HR platforms such as HRIS, ATS, or LMS, including configuration, rollouts, and cross-functional coordination
- Experience building or contributing to a People technology roadmap, evaluating tools, benchmarking options, and making investment cases to leadership
- Experience documenting and redesigning people processes across the full employee lifecycle
- Experience influencing Payroll, Finance, IT, or Legal partners without direct authority
- Structured project management experience with multi-stakeholder initiatives, dependencies, risk communication, and executive-ready status updates
- Experience establishing or enforcing HR data governance standards, including data quality audits, mass change approvals, and corrective action
- Experience managing compliance programs such as I-9/E-Verify, records retention, or data privacy requirements
- Clear and direct communication across organizational levels
- Bonus: Experience with Paylocity, Lattice, or ChartHop, or migrating between major HR platforms
- Bonus: Familiarity with employer-of-record models and distributed, global workforces
