Job Description
Senior Portfolio Consultant implementing complex portfolios for Mercer Advisors’ high-net-worth financial planning clients. Developing investment deliverables and coordinating transitions across advisory and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Execute investment implementations for complex portfolio transitions and high net worth clients
- Serve as point person for newly acquired firms assimilating to the investment platform and models
- Develop investment deliverables for prospective clients to support organic growth
- Collaborate with Wealth Advisors, Operations, Portfolio Management, Compliance, and Trading departments
- Communicate investment philosophy and available investment strategies
- Provide proactive, timely portfolio implementation status updates
- Deliver investment strategies and implementations for Wealth Advisor Teams
- Lead presentations on various investment topics
- Support new Portfolio Consultants in developing investment platform competencies
- Match Advisor implementation goals with available investment strategies
- Draft, support, and audit analytics, proposals, and deliverables
- Manage account configuration options, including cash reserves, rebalancing frequency, and do-not-buy/do-not-sell restrictions
- Apply capital gains tax knowledge to transition portfolios over desired time horizons
- Troubleshoot portfolio inquiries and coordinate process improvement
- Manage standardized workflows and investment processes
- Manage concurrent portfolio implementations to meet or exceed Service Level Agreements
- Audit implementations against target portfolio objectives
- Oversee implementations for high net worth and ultra high net worth clients
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred, preferably Business, Economics, Psychology, or Finance related
- CFP® and/or Series 65 required
- CFA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 4 years of financial industry related experience
- Working knowledge of Orion and Morningstar preferred
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including advanced data analytics, preferred
- Strong problem-solving experience and skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and highly collaborative approach
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Availability Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM, with occasional early or late hours
- Dedicated home office workspace or professional office environment free of interruptions
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
