Job Description
Senior Product QA ensuring quality for Saaf AI’s AI-powered mortgage operations infrastructure. Validating user journeys, AI outputs, and release readiness through data-informed testing.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end quality for product features from requirements review through release readiness
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine acceptance criteria and identify edge cases
- Design and execute tests grounded in real user journeys
- Define and maintain test plans, test cases, and quality benchmarks
- Use product analytics, user feedback, and support data to prioritize testing and focus on high-risk areas
- Identify defect and user-reported issue patterns to drive systemic quality improvements
- Communicate quality status, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders
- Leverage AI-assisted tools for test case generation, exploratory testing support, and defect analysis
- Validate AI-powered product features, model outputs, recommendations, and automated decisions
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI tools and practices into QA processes
- Conduct regression, functional, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Verify new features across user flows against acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with product engineers, product managers, and founders
- Document testing decisions, quality benchmarks, and known risk areas
- Review and improve testing workflows, coverage strategies, and defect triage processes
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a QA role, with meaningful exposure to product-oriented testing
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern testing methodologies
- Deep product thinking, including understanding user behavior, mapping complex user journeys, and prioritizing based on business impact
- Experience using data (analytics, logs, user feedback) to inform testing strategy and prioritization
- Proficiency with bug-tracking and project management tools (JIRA, Linear, Trello, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills for articulating quality risks and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical skills with sharp attention to detail
- Demonstrated, regular use of AI-powered tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar
- Startup mindset: hands-on, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: experience testing AI-powered product features, including validating model outputs, recommendation accuracy, or automated decision flows
- Preferred: familiarity with mortgage, lending, or fintech product domains
- Preferred: experience with exploratory testing techniques and risk-based testing approaches
- Preferred: understanding of product analytics and observability tools for QA strategy
- Prior early-stage startup experience highly preferred
