Job Description
Senior Python Developer building AI-first full-stack products for Embrace’s regulated-industry software portfolio. Shipping cloud applications, modernizing legacy systems, and delivering Venture AI Labs experiments.
Responsibilities:
- Build, test, and deploy full-stack web applications using Python with FastAPI or Django on the backend and React on the frontend
- Design and maintain relational and NoSQL data layers, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Develop and optimize database schemas, indexes, queries, and migrations using SQLAlchemy or Django ORM
- Translate complex regulated-industry workflows into intuitive user experiences with product managers and design teams
- Implement, secure, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices on AWS or Microsoft Azure
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
- Manage cloud compute, serverless, secrets management, object storage, messaging, and observability services
- Optimize front-end and back-end performance for scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Write clean, structured, testable code using type hints, pytest, and modern Python tooling
- Lead architecture planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement with principal engineers
- Use AI coding tools as primary development tools and review, refine, and validate AI-generated output
- Contribute to new product builds, modernization initiatives, and Venture AI Labs projects across six regulated verticals
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional Python full-stack experience
- Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask, async patterns, and Pydantic
- Solid React experience; TypeScript is a plus
- Strong PostgreSQL skills in schema design, indexing, query optimization, and migrations
- Working experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Hands-on AWS or Azure experience across compute, serverless, containers, secrets, storage, messaging, and observability
- CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Hands-on AI-first development experience with Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or JetBrains AI
- Strong software design, testing, secure-by-default engineering, and observability fundamentals
- Comfortable with polyglot technologies; .NET/C#, Node.js, or Go exposure is a plus
- Strong communication and ownership in a remote, forward-deployed environment
