Job Description
Senior QA Automation Engineer testing Bonapolia’s backend services and APIs with Python, Pytest, and automated API testing. Improving quality processes across the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in all stages of the product lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and application documentation
- Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking system
- Test backend services and analyse results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements
- Write automated API tests
- Collaborate with TechOps and other teams to implement quality management processes and improve testing practices
Requirements:
- 5+ years of total engineering experience, including 3+ years in test automation, primarily focused on backend testing
- Proficiency in Python and Pytest for writing automated test scripts
- Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes principles
- CI/CD knowledge
- Ability to analyse backend service logs
- Proficiency in Linux and related tools
- Solid Bash scripting knowledge
- Basic SQL proficiency
- Experience with Kafka and Kibana, or the ability to learn them quickly
- Experience testing RESTful and gRPC APIs
- Good understanding of client-server and/or microservice architecture
- Familiarity with Machine Learning fundamentals
- Active use of AI assistants
