Job Description

Senior QA Engineer responsible for quality assurance of Comfrt's mobile apps and backend services. Collaborating with product, engineering, and design teams for testing and validation.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute end-to-end manual testing of new features, content updates, and integrations across the mobile app
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated UI test scripts using mobile automation tooling
  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria based on product specs
  • Perform cross-platform testing across iOS and Android to ensure consistent behavior and UX
  • Validate accessibility compliance against WCAG 2.2 AA standards on iOS and Android, including testing with native screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Write and execute API tests against our serverless backend, including REST and GraphQL endpoints
  • Proactively identify, document, and track bugs and edge cases through to resolution
  • Collaborate with developers to understand how features are built and how best to test them
  • Maintain testing coverage for high-impact user journeys across all apps, including wellness flows, gamification mechanics (streaks, rewards, challenges), and eCommerce flows such as cart, checkout, and post-purchase
  • Own and improve regression test processes for every release cycle
  • Contribute to QA documentation, reporting, and test environment management

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing within a mobile or digital product environment
  • Hands-on experience with mobile test automation frameworks such as Maestro, Detox, or Appium
  • Solid understanding of manual testing methodologies, test case design, and bug tracking
  • Experience testing React Native applications on iOS and Android
  • Experience writing and executing API tests, including REST and GraphQL, using TypeScript
  • Proficiency in TypeScript
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative version control workflows
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate test development, exploratory testing, and QA workflows
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to think critically about edge cases and user flows
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and design teams
  • Experience with mobile accessibility testing, including manual testing with VoiceOver and TalkBack and auditing with platform tools such as Xcode Accessibility Inspector and Android Accessibility Scanner
  • Experience with bug tracking and project management tools
