Job Description

Sr. Revenue Accountant enabling revenue accounting excellence and improving processes at Rula. Collaborating with teams to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Enable Rula’s Revenue Accounting team through accounting excellence, technological innovation, and improved revenue accounting processes
  • Responsible for key parts of the monthly close, financial reporting, and compliance
  • Apply knowledge of revenue accounting to ensure proper revenue recognition
  • Partner cross-functionally to support scalable revenue operations
  • Join a collaborative, detail-oriented team that values ownership and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct experience with revenue accounting under ASC 606
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting month-end close processes
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
  • Expertise working cross functionally (eg. Finance, Billing or Operations teams) utilizing strong communication skills to resolve data or process issues
  • 1+ years experience at a high-growth start-up (Preferred)
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation / or currently working towards it (Preferred)
  • Proficiency with revenue automation or systems implementations (Preferred)
  • Public accounting experience (Preferred)
  • Hands-on expertise working with large or complex datasets to identify discrepancies (Preferred)
  • A passion for problem solving and process improvements, using emerging tools and technologies (e.g. AI) to drive operational efficiencies (Preferred)
