Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building Golang microservices and React/TypeScript interfaces for FXC Intelligence’s cross-border payments data platform. Improving performance, observability and engineering standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, maintain and enhance Golang microservices and frontend applications
- Deliver performant customer interfaces driven by the design system
- Take full ownership of features from ideation through production
- Contribute to technical strategy and communicate architectural decisions
- Improve performance and observability of services and applications
- Improve team and business quality of life through automation, process improvement or new technologies
- Collect, process and verify large amounts of financial data describing cross-border payments
- Serve financial data to users for informed business decisions
- Interact with stakeholders across the business and immediate technical team
Requirements:
- Experience writing Golang services and web application backends
- Experience deploying applications in Docker containers
- Experience building componentised React/TypeScript frontends
- Ability to write performant SQL
- Understanding of clean code principles and TypeScript and Go idioms
- Ability to review code and establish team quality standards
- Ability to learn and engage with a new business domain and product
- Ability to communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical people
- Ability to discuss how you learn and improve your skills
- Experience with concurrent logic applications, such as goroutines, helpful but not essential
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitLab CI, helpful but not essential
- Experience configuring and using observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, helpful but not essential
- Experience using AI to increase productivity and efficiency and productionised AI tools, helpful but not essential
- Experience with MaterialUI, Airflow, Python or Terraform, helpful but not essential
- Typical working hours are Monday-Friday, 9-5 EST/EDT
- Willingness to provide on-call support when required
