Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building AI-first, serverless cloud platforms for G-P’s SaaS global employment platform. Developing scalable services, integrations, and production-grade software.
Responsibilities:
- Use an AI-native / AI-first approach through the SDLC
- Iteratively turn ideas into prototypes and production-grade code
- Design and develop the cloud platform across all parts of the G-P ecosystem
- Build frameworks and services for the platform
- Develop solutions for a cloud-managed and serverless-first platform ecosystem
- Advocate modern Agile methodologies and practices such as the Well-Architected Framework
- Promote quality, scalability, speed, and a quality mindset
- Diagnose and fix issues reported by internal teams and customers
- Develop and promote unit, contract, integration, and other test suites
- Support and develop software engineers through advice, coaching, and educational opportunities
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience developing highly scalable enterprise-level services, platforms, or products
- Extensive experience building large-scale distributed enterprise applications in geographically distributed teams
- Deep backend-stack knowledge in most or all of Node.js, Java, Python, Redis, and Golang
- Knowledge of and experience choosing between SQL and NoSQL database technologies such as MySQL/PostgreSQL and MongoDB/DynamoDB
- Knowledge of modern cloud architectures and technologies
- Excellent communication skills and experience documenting and delivering technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is desirable
- Hands-on experience in data modeling, data architecture, data governance, CRM integration, third-party system integration, workflow orchestration/choreography, or related areas is a plus
- Prior hands-on experience with AI in production environments is strongly preferred
