Job Description
Senior ServiceNow SecOps engineer building custom applications, workflows, and integrations for NewRocket’s enterprise ServiceNow AI-platform clients. Leading engineers and delivering complex professional-services projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Software Engineers providing project professional services for customers
- Implement and develop ServiceNow customizations based on functional and technical requirements, leading practices, and internal code standards
- Interface with end-users and key stakeholders to gather systems requirements for SecOps applications
- Customize ServiceNow applications and support rollout of new features and modules, including application UI, workflows, and business logic
- Configure REST/SOAP integrations between ServiceNow and other applications
- Guide customers in understanding technical solutions for business requirements
- Interact with technical SMEs to gather environment information for service map and event work
- Reflect impact assessment rules in service maps and validate them with technical SMEs and stakeholders
- Participate in user acceptance testing of maps, impact rules, and event management work
- Promote update sets and data across applicable ServiceNow environments
- Remediate production incidents related to the role’s scope
- Align map/event work with the existing ServiceNow technical lead to maintain consistent shared patterns
- Maintain operational documentation and SOPs to reduce support risk and inefficiency
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of ServiceNow SecOps
- Strong experience in SecOps, Platform, Catalog & Custom applications
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with other systems/platforms using mid servers and cloud-to-cloud integrations
- Experience with SOAP and REST web services integrations, including bi-directional automated integrations
- Experience with data extraction technologies such as JDBC and ODBC, or ETL integrations
- Proven experience implementing ServiceNow SecOps, Platform, Service Catalog, Custom applications and Workflows
- Experience with ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Builder, Scripted REST APIs, and Script Includes
- Ability to create technical design documents and user documentation
- A four-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or demonstrated work experience
- Willingness and ability to continue education within the ServiceNow platform and beyond
- Expected to complete ServiceNow competency certifications and Module Accreditations
- Preferred certifications: ITIL Foundation; ServiceNow CSA and CAD
