Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building scalable web applications for IME, a home-improvement installation platform. Designing full-stack systems, APIs, databases, and performance improvements for retailers and contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and support IME’s web applications
- Work on an agile development team to gather specifications for application enhancements and maintenance
- Propose alternative development options for solutions
- Analyze, design, develop, and test user-centric software solutions
- Design and develop database solutions for enhancements
- Maintain existing software to improve usability and performance
- Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to deliver high-impact features
- Conduct root cause analysis and document conclusions
- Lead technical decision-making and mentor junior engineers
- Identify bottlenecks and implement performance improvements across the technology stack
- Set up and maintain product templates to ensure consistency
- Set up and maintain web analytics based on reporting requirements
- Champion best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment
- Explore emerging technologies and propose creative solutions to complex problems
- Gather specifications from business stakeholders and deliver approved enhancement requests
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent professional experience
- 6+ years experience in web application development
- Experience with C# and full MS Stack development
- Experience with .NET and .NET Core frameworks
- Experience with MVC frameworks
- Experience with client/server technologies
- Experience with SQL Servers, SSMS and stored procedures
- Familiarity with cloud-native patterns and Azure, Amazon, or Google Cloud
- Experience with RESTful Services
- Experience with high performance and scalable systems
- Experience with HTML/CSS/SCSS
- Experience with JavaScript and jQuery; VueJS or React acceptable
- Experience building scalable web applications and APIs
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Must be able to work independently in a remote environment
