Job Description

Senior Special Systems Designer creating Revit-based low-voltage designs for Arora Engineers’ aviation, transportation, and infrastructure projects. Coordinating engineering documents, construction support, and project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform design of Special Systems including Telecom, Security, Information Technology, and other low-voltage systems
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and other disciplines to integrate Special Systems into overall project designs
  • Support Design Leads and Project Managers throughout planning, design, bidding, and construction administration
  • Participate in project meetings, design reviews, field investigations, and client coordination
  • Develop coordinated Revit models, construction documents, engineering drawings, layouts, schedules, and technical documentation
  • Develop and coordinate engineering design packages to support project schedules and delivery milestones
  • Review production work for quality, coordination, completeness, and constructability prior to formal QA/QC reviews
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers in engineering production, Revit workflows, and documentation standards
  • Assist with technical specifications, cost estimates, shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and construction support
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Special Systems design standards, documentation practices, and production workflows

Requirements:

  • Minimum Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Information Technology, Construction Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered
  • Minimum eight (8) years of progressive Special Systems design and Revit/CAD production experience
  • Knowledge of Special Systems engineering, including Telecom, Security, Passenger Systems, Information Technology, and related low-voltage systems
  • Understanding of engineering design processes from planning through construction administration
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills
  • Ability to support multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience producing coordinated engineering construction documents for complex projects
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, or similar coordination tools preferred
  • Aviation or transportation project experience preferred
  • Demonstrated high level of experience developing Revit-based construction documents for complex projects
  • RCDD, PSP, CTS, NICET, CCNA, Autodesk Certified Professional, PMP, or other applicable industry certifications preferred but not required
