Job Description
Senior System Engineer at Adfinis AG, leading cloud-native projects and ensuring quality for clients in a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical lead on complex projects, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Lead technical discussions with demanding stakeholders, align expectations, and convert ambiguity into clear, actionable next steps.
- Anticipate organizational and delivery risks and address them early through structured communication in complex, high-pressure customer environments.
- Manage complex, critical systems, apply updates, and resolve incidents to maintain operational stability.
- Plan and implement sophisticated multi-cloud, hybrid, or on-premises platforms.
- Provide comprehensive support, handle high-priority issues, and assist junior and senior team members in critical situations.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in both written and spoken German.
- Five to eight years of experience as a system engineer in cloud environments.
- Strong DevOps background: CNCF and HashiCorp ecosystems, GitLab, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, DevSecOps, IaC, and GitOps.
- Broad experience in software development, cloud migration, and platform engineering.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to translate advanced concepts into practical network designs.
- Ability to identify security vulnerabilities early and address them effectively.
- Expertise in improving automation and developing new automations to enhance operations.
- Sound understanding of how to align technology, architecture, and business requirements in complex customer environments.
- Ability to understand client needs, navigate demanding stakeholder situations with clarity and tact, and build strong, trust-based relationships.
- Proactive identification of risks and dependencies, with the ability to address them early and create clarity in complex situations.
