Job Description
Senior Maximo consultant configuring IBM asset management solutions for U.S. federal agencies. Leading integrations, migrations, testing, deployments, and enterprise maintenance workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical expert for IBM Maximo, including system architecture, configuration, integration, customization, data migration, deployment, and O&M
- Support development of interfaces to external systems
- Design and configure business processes, workflows, escalations, and automation scripts
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into Maximo configuration solutions
- Configure applications, screens, start centers, KPIs, queries, and dashboards
- Support data migration, validation, and system integration activities
- Collaborate with technical developers on integrations using MIF and REST APIs
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide root cause analysis
- Support upgrades, patches, and deployment activities
- Participate in solution architecture design
- Develop configuration documentation, technical designs, and user guides
- Mentor junior configurators and provide technical leadership to project teams
- Recommend continuous improvements, Enterprise Asset Management best practices, and innovation
Requirements:
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 7+ years of IBM Maximo implementation and configuration experience
- Strong experience configuring Maximo 7.6.x and/or Maximo Application Suite (MAS)
- Ability to convert functional requirements into technical specifications
- Experience with Java, WebSphere, XML, PL SQL, Maximo automation scripts, and BIRT
- Working knowledge of Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), integrations, and REST/JSON APIs
- Experience supporting full software implementation lifecycles
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and executive leadership
- Prior experience working on federal contracts preferred
- IBM Maximo certifications preferred
- Experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) preferred
- Experience with Agile project delivery methodologies preferred
- Experience leading configuration workstreams or functional teams preferred
- Expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and cloud-native architectures preferred
- Experience with IBM WebSphere, Linux, and enterprise middleware platforms preferred
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks preferred
- Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence, or other tools, preferred
