Job Description
Senior UX Manager leading design teams for SecurityScorecard’s cybersecurity ratings platform. Owning UX people leadership, Agile design operations, systems, accessibility, and AI-augmented workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Directly manage a team of designers
- Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations
- Own team morale, retention, and team health targets
- Run and improve Agile design ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and design reviews
- Integrate design into Scrum cycles with Product and Engineering
- Own features end-to-end when needed, from discovery and wireframes through high-fidelity UI and production handoff
- Review, critique, and elevate the team’s design output
- Serve as primary design liaison to Product Management, Engineering, and business stakeholders
- Participate in roadmap planning and negotiate scope
- Integrate usability testing and behavioral analytics from FullStory, Pendo, Amplitude, or similar into design iterations
- Partner with UX Research to translate findings into personas, journey maps, and evidence-based design decisions
- Champion AI-augmented design workflows using Figma AI, Claude, and emerging tools
- Set AI tooling adoption goals, share best practices, and model an AI-by-Design mindset
- Build professional growth plans and foster a direct, kind, actionable feedback culture
- Report directly to the SVP, Experience Strategy & Product Design
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, including 3+ years directly managing designers
- Portfolio and track record demonstrating craft excellence and team leadership
- Hands-on experience running Agile scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
- End-to-end product design experience from discovery and wireframing through high-fidelity UI and production handoff
- Deep proficiency in Figma, including component architecture, auto-layout, variables, and prototyping
- Hands-on experience building, governing, and scaling Design Systems
- Strong understanding of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Experience synthesizing behavioral analytics and usability testing into design decisions
- Proven stakeholder management skills across Product, Engineering, and executive audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; equivalent professional experience accepted
- Preferred: Formal Agile training certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent) or robust scrum master/agile lead experience
- Preferred: Experience in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise platform products
- Preferred: Experience improving team health, morale, and retention metrics
- Preferred: Experience implementing JIRA-based or equivalent tracking systems
- Preferred: Familiarity with AI-augmented design workflows
- Preferred: Experience leading organizational transformation, process change, or leadership transition
- Must be able to work in the United States; SecurityScorecard does not provide immigration sponsorship for this position
