Job Description
Telecom signalling security specialist auditing telecom networks with PTA and supporting PTM IDS deployments. Delivering customer reports, presentations, troubleshooting, and operational improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Support and operate P1 Security solutions in production contexts, notably PTM and VKB
- Conduct signalling security audits using proprietary PTA tooling
- Scope audits, including objectives, perimeter, constraints, timelines, and deliverables
- Prepare safe execution plans and operational safeguards
- Execute signalling security audits in a controlled manner
- Analyze results, validate findings, and assess exploitability and root cause
- Draft technical reports in English and present findings to customers
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers through scoping, updates, and delivery
- Deliver presentations, training, and debrief sessions
- Provide IT support for the PTM IDS through customer ticket workflows
- Troubleshoot and maintain PTM deployments, including Linux and virtualization layers
- Operate and improve tooling and scripts for investigations, maintenance, and deployments
- Collaborate with Engineering and R&D to improve tooling, detection quality, and operational processes
- Maintain internal documentation and handover notes
Requirements:
- Ability to draft professional, structured technical reports and slide decks in English
- Strong verbal communication skills for presenting and interacting directly with customers
- Solid understanding of telecom core architecture, roaming concepts, and signalling security in real operator environments
- Ability to read and reason about SS7/SIGTRAN, Diameter, LTE/IMS, and GTP-C call flows
- Ability to connect traces/observations to concrete security findings
- Familiarity with GSMA Fraud & Security standards, notably FS.11, FS.19, and FS.20
- Ability to translate standards requirements into test cases, evidence collection, and actionable remediation
- Mastery of roaming signalling attacks and call flows
- Comfortable using a terminal and basic Linux commands
- Proficiency in Python for one-off analysis or testing scripts
- Ability to write and maintain Bash/shell scripts for operational needs
- Experience with Linux and ESXi/VM operations is a plus
- Customer-centered, autonomous, rigorous, and proactive mindset
- Ability to work with Central European Time overlap preferred
