Job Description
Site Reliability Engineer owning Convey’s cloud reliability, security, deployments, and incident response. Managing AWS/GCP infrastructure with Terraform for dependable cloud-based applications.
Responsibilities:
- Own complex production incidents from investigation through resolution
- Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP
- Execute staging and production deployments, including high-impact releases
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Implement security mitigations and support access reviews and security audits
- Develop operational documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides
- Mentor junior team members and support incident response best practices
- Participate in an on-call or escalation rotation as needed
Requirements:
- Advanced hands-on experience with AWS, including system and network administration
- Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure provisioning
- Experience managing production deployments and troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Knowledge of cloud security, user permissions, firewall rules, and audit preparation
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, or PagerDuty
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
- Preferred: experience with GCP, containerized applications, AWS Lambda, EC2, or ECS/EKS
- Preferred: familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
- Preferred: experience with Twilio services
- Preferred: AWS certifications or a background in CloudOps, DevOps, SRE, or production support
