- Set initial architecture for new tracking problems
- Run the Software Domain Owner model and maintain named codeowners for shared libraries
- Keep designs consistent across sports
- Represent tracking in the Engineering Architecture Steering group and contribute to architecture discussions across Hawk-Eye and Sony Sports
- Decide when to reuse common tracking code and when to diverge
- Lead computer vision direction across camera calibration, ball tracking, skeletal tracking and related R&D
- Research and introduce new tracking technologies
- Build prototypes to validate proposals
- Lead adoption and evaluation of agentic coding frameworks, LLM-driven development tools and automated code generation in C++ and Python codebases
- Coach Squad Tech Leads and guide junior architects
- Run CV Algorithm talks, HawkTalks and tutorials
- Support hiring, including technical assessment for CV and ML roles
- Own the operational health of ML training and synthetic data infrastructure
- Escalate ownership and support gaps with options attached
- Act as the technical escalation point and contribute code when live delivery is at risk
