Job Description
Early-career full-stack engineer building TypeScript/Node and React systems for Prometheum’s blockchain securities infrastructure. Shipping features, fixes, tests, and technical improvements in a fully remote team.
Responsibilities:
- Ship work across the stack, including bug fixes, small features, test coverage, and technical debt
- Use AI coding tools and rigorously review their output
- Trace requests end-to-end across the front end, API, services, and database
- Build understanding of custody, clearing, and trading systems
- Participate in code reviews as both learner and reviewer
- Participate in refinement, sprint kick-off, standup, demos, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and UX to clarify requirements, reproduce bugs, and ask design questions
- Investigate and resolve QA/UAT issues, pairing when needed
Requirements:
- Up to 2 years of professional software engineering experience
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
- Comfort with at least one of Node.js or React
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants
- Familiarity with relational databases and writing SQL
- Comfort with git-based workflows: branch, PR, review, CI
- Clear written communication, with a strong command of the English language
- Instinct to ask for help at the right time
- Authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada
- Able to pass a comprehensive background check
- Nice to have: exposure to microservices, Docker, or AWS
- Nice to have: automated testing experience
- Nice to have: background in finance, brokerage, trading, or blockchain
- Nice to have: experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar
