Job Description

Early-career full-stack engineer building TypeScript/Node and React systems for Prometheum’s blockchain securities infrastructure. Shipping features, fixes, tests, and technical improvements in a fully remote team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ship work across the stack, including bug fixes, small features, test coverage, and technical debt
  • Use AI coding tools and rigorously review their output
  • Trace requests end-to-end across the front end, API, services, and database
  • Build understanding of custody, clearing, and trading systems
  • Participate in code reviews as both learner and reviewer
  • Participate in refinement, sprint kick-off, standup, demos, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and UX to clarify requirements, reproduce bugs, and ask design questions
  • Investigate and resolve QA/UAT issues, pairing when needed

Requirements:

  • Up to 2 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Comfort with at least one of Node.js or React
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants
  • Familiarity with relational databases and writing SQL
  • Comfort with git-based workflows: branch, PR, review, CI
  • Clear written communication, with a strong command of the English language
  • Instinct to ask for help at the right time
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada
  • Able to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Nice to have: exposure to microservices, Docker, or AWS
  • Nice to have: automated testing experience
  • Nice to have: background in finance, brokerage, trading, or blockchain
  • Nice to have: experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar
