Job Description
Full-stack engineer owning features for Prometheum’s blockchain-based securities infrastructure. Building TypeScript/Node.js back ends and React front ends for regulated digital-asset markets.
Responsibilities:
- Own epics end to end after handoff from Product, from story writing and pointing through delivery and release
- Build across the TypeScript/Node back end and React front end, taking on large, complex problems in the team's scope
- Report progress on epics regularly and accurately, and raise risks before they become surprises
- Partner with the Product Manager and senior engineers on technical design and architecture decisions
- Use AI coding tools as a default part of the workflow and review their output rigorously
- Lead company-wide demos of delivered epic work
- Review teammates' code for design concerns, edge cases, and test gaps
- Participate in scrum ceremonies including refinement, sprint kick-off, standup, demos, and retro
- Work directly with Product, QA, and UX throughout delivery
- Investigate and resolve issues found in QA, UAT, and production
Requirements:
- 3 or more years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software
- Strong TypeScript or JavaScript knowledge, with real depth in both Node.js and React
- Track record of carrying a substantial piece of work from ambiguous requirements to released software
- Comfort with relational databases, SQL, and reasoning about data models
- Experience with microservices, Docker, and a cloud platform such as AWS
- Automated testing as a habit rather than an afterthought
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants, plus judgment to know when their output is wrong
- Clear written communication with a strong command of the English language
- Able to reason through technical disagreements with evidence, and to update your view when the evidence shifts
- Authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada
- Able to pass a comprehensive background check, which is required for this role
- Nice to have: Experience mentoring or onboarding other engineers
- Nice to have: Background in finance, brokerage, trading, custody, or blockchain
- Nice to have: Exposure to regulated environments and the audit trails they require
- Nice to have: Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar
