Job Description

Full-stack engineer owning features for Prometheum’s blockchain-based securities infrastructure. Building TypeScript/Node.js back ends and React front ends for regulated digital-asset markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Own epics end to end after handoff from Product, from story writing and pointing through delivery and release
  • Build across the TypeScript/Node back end and React front end, taking on large, complex problems in the team's scope
  • Report progress on epics regularly and accurately, and raise risks before they become surprises
  • Partner with the Product Manager and senior engineers on technical design and architecture decisions
  • Use AI coding tools as a default part of the workflow and review their output rigorously
  • Lead company-wide demos of delivered epic work
  • Review teammates' code for design concerns, edge cases, and test gaps
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies including refinement, sprint kick-off, standup, demos, and retro
  • Work directly with Product, QA, and UX throughout delivery
  • Investigate and resolve issues found in QA, UAT, and production

Requirements:

  • 3 or more years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software
  • Strong TypeScript or JavaScript knowledge, with real depth in both Node.js and React
  • Track record of carrying a substantial piece of work from ambiguous requirements to released software
  • Comfort with relational databases, SQL, and reasoning about data models
  • Experience with microservices, Docker, and a cloud platform such as AWS
  • Automated testing as a habit rather than an afterthought
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants, plus judgment to know when their output is wrong
  • Clear written communication with a strong command of the English language
  • Able to reason through technical disagreements with evidence, and to update your view when the evidence shifts
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada
  • Able to pass a comprehensive background check, which is required for this role
  • Nice to have: Experience mentoring or onboarding other engineers
  • Nice to have: Background in finance, brokerage, trading, custody, or blockchain
  • Nice to have: Exposure to regulated environments and the audit trails they require
  • Nice to have: Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar
