Job Description
Frontend Software Engineer building Vue.js geospatial AI interfaces for satellite and drone imagery. Creating interactive maps, model-training workflows, and results visualization for defense and enterprise customers.
Responsibilities:
- Build and evolve the frontend application for AI model training, inference execution, and results exploration
- Develop interactive map-based visualizations for detection results, segmentation masks, and training data coverage
- Design workflows for imagery upload and management, model configuration, inference parameterization, and results export
- Build performant UI components for large-scale imagery, including pan, zoom, and overlay rendering
- Integrate with FastAPI services and communicate pipeline status, processing progress, and asynchronous job results in real time
- Contribute to the public API developer experience through documentation portals and interactive tooling
- Ensure reliable operation across SaaS, single-tenant cloud, on-premise, and edge-laptop deployments
- Collaborate with ML engineers, GIS specialists, and 3D graphics engineers
Requirements:
- Strong practical experience with Vue.js and building complex, stateful single-page applications
- Solid software engineering fundamentals: HTML, CSS, TypeScript, component/integration testing, CI/CD, performance profiling, accessibility
- Experience rendering geospatial data in the browser
- Experience with mapping libraries such as OpenLayers, Leaflet, and deck.gl
- Understanding of tile-based rendering
- Solid command of modern CSS and responsive layout
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs and managing asynchronous state
- Strong UX skills for technical products
- Strong user interaction design skills for web maps and geospatial applications
- Familiarity with geospatial math, coordinate reference systems, raster and vector data, GeoJSON, and Mapbox vector tiles
- Familiarity with Git
- Experience with WebGL, Canvas, or GPU-accelerated rendering is a bonus
- Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments is a bonus
- Background in data-heavy dashboards, monitoring tools, or analyst workbenches is a bonus
- Experience with Test-Driven Development is a bonus
- Experience with 3D assets or 3D engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine is a bonus
