Job Description
Frontend Lead architecting Legion’s real-time Command & Control software for Swarm Aero’s autonomous aircraft. Building telemetry-rich interfaces to direct large heterogeneous drone swarms.
Responsibilities:
- Own and architect the frontend for Legion's Command & Control system directing swarms of heterogeneous aircraft
- Build real-time, collaborative interfaces for controlling large numbers of aircraft simultaneously, including during communication outages
- Design and ship UI concepts for vehicle telemetry, sensor data, scheduling, crew resources, data link management, and related functions
- Set frontend architecture, patterns, and standards for the team
- Ship frequently with strong CI/CD, QA, and DevSecOps
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 8+ years building complex, production frontend applications
- Track record of owning frontend architecture
- Elite UI/UX instincts and the tools to back them up
- Deep experience building production web interfaces with React or a comparable modern framework
- Experience mentoring engineers and setting technical direction for a frontend team
- Experience with both immediate mode (games, simulation) and retained mode UI paradigms
- Track record with performance-sensitive application development
- Familiarity with video streaming protocols
- WebGL/OpenGL experience
- Experience with geospatial applications
