Job Description
Senior Software / Cloud Engineer at ASCENDING supporting legacy system migration and modern API integration. Requires 7-10 years of software development experience with cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Support the migration of legacy systems and the modernization of APIs in alignment with ITGC standards.
- Play a key part in evolving integrations with new enterprise platforms.
- Ensure the development of secure, scalable, and audit-ready data pipelines.
- Lead efforts to migrate existing systems to integrate directly with a new solution.
- Modernize the commissions API through a tokenized and reportable architecture.
- Ensure data is transferred accurately and securely to support audit readiness.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in architectural discussions.
- Provide development support for both new and existing applications.
Requirements:
- 7–10 years of software development experience with Java
- Strong experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
- Proficiency with Spring Boot
- Experience with Golang for backend development
- Familiarity with containerization technologies
- Experience with AWS services including ECS/Fargate, CloudFormation, SQS, and Lambda
- Strong understanding of system integrations, cloud architectures, and secure data transfer practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
