Job Description
Software Quality Assurance Engineer ensuring quality in BetterHelp's mental health services platform. Collaborating with developers and product managers to define test strategies and improve product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Determine the best test strategy for assigned areas of test, whether it be manual or automated testing
- Write clear and concise test plans, test cases, and bug reports
- Collaborate closely with developers and product managers
- Lead testing for small to medium features (e.g., 2-point Jira cards) independently
- Mentor junior QA team members and help them expand their product and technical knowledge
- Research test tools, methodologies, and trends to improve existing practices and processes
- Run, maintain, and troubleshoot existing automated tests in Playwright, partnering with QA teammates to improve test reliability and coverage
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience working in an Agile development environment
- Strong understanding of QA best practices
- Proficiency in test case design, test coverage strategies, and regression testing
- Comfortable with SQL and relational databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Passionate about quality and continuous improvement.
- Bonus (Great to have but not required):
- Experience in localization testing
- Mobile testing experience
- Accessibility testing experience
- Automated testing using Playwright
