Job Description
Software Systems Engineer developing and supporting Ab Initio systems software for Electrosoft’s federal customers. Analyzing, testing, debugging, integrating, and documenting operating-system applications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized expertise across multiple systems and software disciplines under minimal direction
- Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products
- Resolve complex problems
- Design, develop, test, and operationally integrate systems software products
- Provide user support
- Assist with planning and conversion for new hardware/software products
- Maintain, debug, and configure related software products
- Plan and evaluate operating systems for performance analysis, capacity planning, and hardware upgrades
- Develop or modify operating systems applications from specifications
- Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and program documentation
- Interface with system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve operating system efficiency
- Prepare product documentation
- Interface with customers to gather system requirements or troubleshoot problems
Requirements:
- Eight (8) years of experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology)
- Experience with Ab Initio development
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
- Moderate Risk, Confidential, Non-Critical Sensitive with a Tier 3/NACLC/ANACI investigation at time of proposal
- DoW Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level I
