Job Description

Staff Attorney supporting Navitus, a pharmacy benefit manager making medications more affordable. Drafting contracts, researching law, and advising teams on regulatory and business matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Navitus Chief Legal Officer and Associate General Counsel with legal matters
  • Draft legal documents and templates
  • Perform legal research and analysis
  • Manage document templates and corporate legal records
  • Perform records research
  • Prepare correspondence
  • Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, contracts, and legal codes
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts on behalf of the organization
  • Prepare memorandums and correspondence
  • Inform the development of new Navitus legal changes and provide guidance on legal issues
  • Provide legal counsel to Navitus staff on the implications of business objectives and applicable policies and practices
  • File legal documents and correspondence in digital and physical filing systems
  • Develop processes for indexing and filing legal documents and managing contracts
  • Support other departments regarding contracts, business operations, and regulatory affairs issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Completion of law degree, from ABA accredited program is preferred
  • License to practice law required
  • Some experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department required
  • Highly developed verbal and written communications skills to interact tactfully and effectively with others both internal and external to Navitus on sensitive and complex topics
  • Ability to use a personal computer and possess advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • Ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
  • Remote work is available only to residents of Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin
