Job Description
Strategic Customer Partner guiding utility customers and growing accounts for exnaton’s AI-powered energy platform. Building long-term partnerships across Europe’s energy transition.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise utility customers
- Build trusted, expert, and forward-thinking customer relationships
- Proactively bring ideas, industry insight, and strategic recommendations to customers
- Lead regular business reviews aligned with customers’ strategic goals
- Position exnaton as a strategic thought partner in customers’ energy-transition journeys
- Identify and drive account-growth opportunities through upselling and cross-selling
- Own upsell opportunities from offer through signature, with variable compensation tied to closed deals
- Own and resolve escalations and issues end-to-end
- Represent the customer voice internally in product, service, and strategy discussions
- Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to maximize customer value
- Track account health and performance using CRM tools and proactively anticipate customer needs
- Help shape exnaton and bring its AI-powered intelligence platform for new energy to market
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or energy-related studies, and/or relevant experience
- Strong business acumen and commercial instincts
- Background in management consulting, business development, and/or experience in the energy/utilities sector strongly preferred
- Proven track record in a client-facing advisory, sales, or consulting capacity
- Demonstrated business development track record, including sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing commercial opportunities
- Proactive, forward-thinking mindset
- Strong relationship-building skills and genuine curiosity about customers’ businesses
- Ability to translate customer challenges into strategic, technology-enabled solutions, including writing customized offers
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple workstreams independently
- Ability to coordinate across functions and align diverse stakeholders
- Solid understanding of SaaS business models and creating and capturing value through a platform relationship
- Collaborative team-player approach and willingness to share knowledge
- Fluent in German and English (strict requirement)
- Familiarity with the regulatory and commercial landscape of the energy/utilities sector, including relevant system environments ideally preferred
