Responsibilities:

  • Own the production system behind Turing’s software-engineering data programs
  • Design and manage data pipelines from customer specification to final delivery, accountable for scope, timeline, and quality
  • Scope and establish coding workstreams across supervised demonstrations, agentic trajectories, RL environments, benchmark construction, and rubric-graded evaluation
  • Diagnose bottlenecks, resequence workflows, refine instructions, create incentive systems, and scale review processes
  • Own quality control across the annotation lifecycle and close quality gaps
  • Analyze datasets for trends, anomalies, and systematic errors and fix root causes
  • Implement and improve annotation, evaluation, and curation practices
  • Coordinate 100–1,000+ distributed software-engineering contributors
  • Define contributor profiles and partner with talent teams on sourcing, assessment, onboarding, and ramping
  • Own contributor training, performance management, reviewer capacity, incentives, and corrective actions
  • Build team-lead and reviewer structures
  • Serve as primary contact for frontier AI lab researchers and program managers
  • Translate research intent into task specifications and challenge ineffective specifications
  • Build long-term client relationships and identify expansion opportunities
  • Use Python, SQL, or other tools to automate quality sampling, defect classification, throughput analysis, and weekly reporting
  • Convert successful workflows into reusable playbooks, quality controls, evaluation assets, and contributor-management systems
  • Share lessons and mentor other Strategic Project Leads
  • Within 30 days, establish baselines, validate controls, and independently lead a defined workstream
  • Within 90 days, deliver predictable throughput and quality and improve a material operating metric
  • Within 180 days, run concurrent programs, create reusable assets, support account expansion, and help another lead adopt the operating system

Requirements:

  • Background in software engineering, technical program management, consulting, finance, startups, or other operationally intense environments
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities
  • Customer-facing experience with high-profile clients, expectation management, and long-term relationship building
  • Excitement for process optimization and large-scale execution
  • Ability to read and review code
  • Ability to follow pull requests in Python, TypeScript, Java, or Go
  • Ability to read a test suite and independently judge delivered tasks
  • Bonus: experience with agentic evaluation harnesses, software engineering benchmarks, or RL environments
  • Bonus: experience managing large distributed contributor networks or marketplaces
  • Bonus: prior work at an AI data vendor or frontier lab

Benefits:

  • Amazing work culture (Super collaborative & supportive work environment; 5 days a week)
  • Awesome colleagues and exposure to top talent from Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and startup backgrounds
  • Competitive compensation
  • Equal opportunity, diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace
