Job Description

Strategic sourcing analyst procuring IT hardware and software for ePlus technology solutions. Optimizing quotes, supplier pricing, availability, rebates, and margins.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze technical Bills of Materials to determine optimal sourcing strategies based on cost, availability, lead time, and program eligibility
  • Solicit, compare, and validate quotes from OEMs, distributors, and alternate channels
  • Identify substitute products or alternate SKUs when primary items have pricing, availability, or lead-time constraints
  • Evaluate and pursue deal registration, special pricing, rebates, promotions, and incentive programs
  • Monitor special pricing approvals, quote expirations, cost changes, and renewals through final quote completion
  • Maintain relationships with distributor representatives, OEM channel teams, and strategic supplier partners
  • Negotiate supplier pricing, terms, and availability and resolve quote issues, pricing discrepancies, and registration conflicts
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Sales Engineers, and sales teams during solution design and handoff
  • Manage and prioritize a high volume of concurrent quote requests
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready quote records in accordance with procurement policies and vendor agreements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in IT product quoting, procurement, distribution, or a related channel role within the IT/technology industry
  • Strong working familiarity with major cable/connectivity and equipment OEMs and national distributors
  • Practical knowledge of deal registration, SPA, and competitive/special pricing processes
  • Demonstrated negotiation experience securing favorable pricing and terms from suppliers
  • Strong relationship-building skills with sales, solutions engineering, distributors, and OEMs
  • Ability to read and interpret a technical Bill of Materials and translate it into an actionable sourcing plan
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Proficiency with quoting/CRM platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, or CPQ tools, and Microsoft Excel
