Job Description
Strategic Sourcer developing global talent strategies for Appen’s AI training data projects. Finding specialized contributors across translation, legal, medical, scientific, and technical domains.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute creative sourcing strategies for specialized, hard-to-reach, and high-volume needs
- Explore communities, networks, referrals, and non-traditional channels to find and engage contributors
- Translate project requirements into targeted searches and adapt strategies as needs evolve
- Communicate sourcing progress, challenges, and market feedback, and flag potential risks
- Use sourcing and conversion data to identify bottlenecks, test approaches, and improve performance
- Use AI and automation in research, outreach, analysis, and sourcing workflows to improve efficiency
- Partner closely with the Sourcing Lead, Recruitment, and Delivery
- Rapidly scale sourcing efforts when projects require high volumes
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong research and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop new approaches when traditional sourcing methods are not effective
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience using sourcing data and funnel metrics to inform decisions and improve results
- Experience sourcing for AI, data, or crowdsourcing projects
- Experience sourcing linguists, translators, or other language profiles across markets
- Experience working with global or distributed teams across time zones
- Flexibility to work regular U.S. hours or provide U.S. overlap when working in a different time zone
