Job Description
Systems Analyst supporting Epic health-plan applications for Sharp HealthCare, a not-for-profit San Diego healthcare system. Maintaining, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting IT applications and client workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support, change management, and ongoing maintenance for IT applications.
- Support assigned applications and perform analysis and troubleshooting.
- Support operational, application, and administration duties for a highly available IT environment.
- Provide direct support for IT applications and facilitate client workflows.
- Participate in project initiatives and planning activities; collaborate with other Analysts.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and develop communication plans.
- Work with the IS help desk to provide education and facilitate problem resolution.
- Obtain client leadership input on projects and enhancements; coordinate vendor interactions.
- Proactively communicate completion dates and operational issues.
- Exercise leadership with clients, resolve conflicts, propose and implement solutions, and participate in training.
- Analyze user needs, requirements, workflows, system capabilities, and root causes; recommend viable solutions.
- Analyze proposed solution impacts on other applications and use application-specific tools to monitor system health.
- Participate in project scope, charter, training, risk mitigation, implementation, and progress reporting.
- Configure systems, execute testing plans, document results, maintain software changes across production and test environments, and develop test scripts.
- Follow change management, downtime, disaster recovery, security, and vendor SLA procedures.
- Collaborate with peers and team members on User Acceptance Testing plans.
Requirements:
- 3 Years experience in a health system that include systems analysis and/or information technology activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field, such as Health Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Nursing, or Health Care Administration preferred.
- Relevant experience in excess of 3 years health Services, or appropriate certifications may be substituted.
- Complete all IT Proficiency Requirements within one year (if applicable).
- Certified Lean Six Sigma White Belt preferred.
- Certification directly related to the application being supported preferred.
- Proficiency in the applications supported by the department, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Project Web App.
- Must be able to respond professionally to frequent deadlines for reports and related tasks and prepare work and presentations on short notice.
- Must be able to hear and speak clearly by telephone.
