Job Description

Business Development Engineer advancing Fortinet’s SASE security solutions across Central America. Building pipelines, advising customers, and growing enterprise and channel partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Business Development Engineer for SecOps across the assigned territory, driving growth through a land-and-expand strategy
  • Architect and design end-to-end SASE topologies connecting remote workers, branch offices, and cloud infrastructure securely
  • Advise customers, partners, and internal teams on SASE, SSE, Zero Trust Network Access, Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, SD-WAN, and cloud-delivered security services
  • Research trends, evolving customer needs, and growth opportunities in the SASE space
  • Design and implement go-to-market strategies for security operations solutions
  • Identify prospective customers and build a sales pipeline focused on SASE technologies
  • Develop relationships with enterprise clients, technology partners, and cybersecurity professionals
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to close opportunities, support negotiations, and ensure positive customer experiences
  • Meet or exceed revenue goals by promoting Fortinet’s SASE portfolio
  • Deliver executive presentations, technical demonstrations, and demos showcasing Fortinet security fabric
  • Establish partnerships with resellers, GSIs, MSSPs, and other technology collaborators, emphasizing channel engagement and enablement
  • Understand customer business challenges and deliver value-based presentations, proposals, and demonstrations

Requirements:

  • Experience in business development or solution sales, preferably within cybersecurity, security operations, or managed services
  • Proven ability to achieve or exceed targets
  • Strong experience with NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, and Zero Trust maturity models
  • Experience working with or for MSSPs, vendors, or technology providers in security operations
  • Deep technical expertise in network security architecture and Zero Trust principles
  • Strong communication and engagement skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze customer needs, create solutions, and contribute to partner or customer success
  • Solid experience in SASE, SSE, Zero Trust Network Access, Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, SD-WAN, SSPM, and cloud-delivered security services
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and edge computing concepts
  • Strong knowledge of SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and role-based access control
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
