Job Description
Systems Engineer supporting Fortinet, a cybersecurity company, with technical pre-sales, demos, proposals, and customer solution design. Serving as the lead technical contact for post-sales security issues.
Responsibilities:
- Support the sales organization in technical matters related to pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales
- Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint
- Carry out pre-sales functions for solution offerings, including proposals, demos, and presentations
- Lead technical aspects of sales cycles, from initial RFIs through RFPs and RFQs when required
- Participate in preparing tender documents, proposals, RFPs, RFIs, and POC demos
- Serve as the main technical resource on sales calls and educate customers on features, specifications, functionality, and integration
- Assess customer requirements, environments, and challenges
- Propose and provide security solution designs and implementation solutions to clients
- Act as the lead technical contact for identified accounts on post-sales technical issues
- Work with technical support and engineering to answer, escalate, and resolve customer technical issues
Requirements:
- Field sales experience
- Experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer
- Experience administering LAN/WAN/Internet services
- Experience handling mid- and large-enterprise accounts
- Experience with lab setup and proof-of-concept (POC)
- Solid understanding of security solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Alibaba, and Google Cloud
- Knowledge of SaaS solutions, orchestration, or multi-vendor integrated deployment
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks including NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, and Cyber Kill Chain
- Exceptional skills in networking and security solutions, including Routing, Switching, VPN, Firewall, SD-WAN, Sandboxing, UEBA, application security, SASE, ZTNA, and EDR
- Solid understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPsec, firewall, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES
- Experience with encryption and authentication technologies
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Bachelor's Degree
