Job Description
Team Lead Quality Assurance leading testing strategy and automation at FIO. Improving software quality for financial and real-estate industry solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the Quality Assurance team and support its continued development
- Set clear priorities and support team members through coaching, knowledge building, and continuous development
- Analyze the current state of quality assurance and develop a sustainable, risk-based testing strategy
- Work with teams to decide on appropriate test scope, timing, and levels of testing
- Drive the strategic development of test automation
- Identify risks at an early stage and establish preventive quality assurance practices
- Establish meaningful quality metrics and create transparency around quality improvements
- Support release and risk management, balancing quality measures against acceptable risks
- Conduct joint root-cause analyses of defects and derive appropriate corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with Development, Product Owners, Application Operations, and Support
- Promote a shared understanding of quality and embed quality as a collective responsibility
- Challenge existing ways of working, introduce new ideas, and pragmatically implement necessary changes
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering
- Knowledge of testing methods, test strategies, test management, and test automation
- Experience with technical leadership, mentoring colleagues, or supporting teams in their development
- Knowledge of modern quality assurance approaches, including manual, automated, and exploratory testing, the test pyramid, and risk-based testing strategies
- Hands-on experience with test automation and modern Quality Assurance tools
- Ideally, experience with Playwright, TestRail, and issue trackers
- Knowledge of Continuous Testing, automated regression testing, or integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of software development processes and collaboration with developers
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Pragmatism, decisiveness, and the ability to assess risks
- Strong communication skills and a confident, reflective manner
- Very good German skills at least at C1 level
- Good English skills at least at B2 level
