Job Description
Oracle VBCS Technical Consultant designing custom extensions and integrations for Oracle applications. Delivering Fusion solutions using VBCS, JavaScript, APIs, and Oracle technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and functional consultants to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Design and develop custom extensions and integrations using Oracle VBCS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and PL/SQL
- Customize and extend Fusion modules using VBCS to meet business needs
- Develop data models, create REST APIs, and configure integrations connecting Oracle VBCS with other systems and databases
- Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure solution quality, performance, and security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with existing systems and data sources
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to clients and project teams throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Stay updated with Oracle VBCS features, enhancements, and best practices
- Document technical specifications, configurations, and procedures
- Assist with migration and deployment of Oracle Extensions VBCS applications to production environments
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of VBCS custom page development and at least more than one end-to-end implementation experience
- Hands-on OIC integration development experience
- Hands-on experience with Page Integration in Fusion Applications
- Knowledge of Visual Builder Studio, Redwood templates, Fusion Extensions, and CI/CD
- Experience developing data models using DB, SQL, and PL/SQL
- Experience working with REST and SOAP Web services
- Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- APEX and Groovy development experience preferred
- Knowledge of Fusion Security, roles, and data access preferred
- Experience with PaaS IDCS setups, federation between SaaS and PaaS, and SSO preferred
- Knowledge of Fusion SCM Modules preferred
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Relevant Oracle development and Oracle VBCS certifications are a plus
- Proven experience as an Oracle Extensions VBCS Technical Consultant or Oracle Developer
- Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion Applications
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle VBCS development tools, visual development environments, and declarative development approaches
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web technologies
- Experience designing and developing custom extensions and integrations using Oracle VBCS
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Applications and their underlying data models
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
