Job Description
Technical MATM Consultant configuring and integrating Manhattan Active Transportation Management for Fulfillment IQ, a supply-chain engineering company. Supporting transportation operations, production incidents, and enterprise systems.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary hands-on technical resource for Manhattan Active Transportation Management (MATM)
- Review, create, update, test, and troubleshoot MATM configurations
- Configure transportation planning, execution, tendering, rating, routing, tracking, and related processes
- Evaluate business requirements and select configuration, integration, extension, or process-change solutions
- Investigate production issues using application tools, logs, messages, alerts, and transaction data
- Coordinate configuration changes across development, test, and production environments
- Support testing, validation, deployment, and post-production verification
- Define and maintain technical integration design between MATM and enterprise systems
- Analyze TMS data flows, API payloads, messages, mappings, transformations, and interface designs
- Provide technical direction for APIs, asynchronous messaging, batch processes, and middleware integrations
- Ensure integration validation, logging, monitoring, reconciliation, retry, and recovery capabilities
- Troubleshoot failures across MATM, middleware, ERP, warehouse, carrier, and connected systems
- Translate transportation requirements into MATM configuration and integration designs
- Review solutions for reliability, maintainability, performance, and operational supportability
- Provide technical estimates and support projects, enhancements, defect fixes, and operational improvements
- Partner with Manhattan Associates and implementation partners on complex technical issues
- Provide advanced production support and perform root-cause analysis
- Develop runbooks, troubleshooting procedures, and support documentation
- Implement permanent corrective actions for recurring issues
- Support monitoring and reconciliation processes
- Participate in an on-call or production-support rotation when required
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, or supporting Manhattan Active Transportation Management
- Ability to navigate MATM administration and configuration capabilities and make application configuration changes
- Experience troubleshooting MATM configuration, processing, data, and integration issues
- Strong understanding of transportation planning and optimization
- Knowledge of shipment and load creation, routing, consolidation, carrier selection, tendering, rating, accessorial charges, execution, tracking, and freight settlement or financial integration
- Experience designing and supporting TMS integrations with internal enterprise systems
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, web services, event-driven integrations, message queues, or middleware platforms
- Ability to review interface specifications, payloads, field mappings, and data transformations
- Experience using logs, monitoring tools, application data, and error messages for troubleshooting
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments
- Ability to work independently and take technical ownership through resolution
- Ability to communicate technical designs and issues to developers, business users, vendors, and technology leaders
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
- Preferred: experience with multiple MATM components, Manhattan Active APIs, extensions, integration frameworks, release processes, SQL, relational data, middleware, monitoring, API-testing tools, source control, deployment, automated testing, CI/CD, and transportation or supply-chain technology
