Job Description
Technical Services Specialist III supporting hazardous waste treatment and disposal for Republic Services. Developing bid materials, evaluating regulations and treatment options, and advising customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead high-level technical waste disposal support
- Support development of bid materials by working with sales managers
- Coordinate complex processes with customer service and operations staff to ensure acceptance and disposal of waste
- Work with multiple departments to determine proper, safe, and legal treatment of hazardous waste
- Troubleshoot technical issues with cross-functional teams
- Engage with clients to understand technical requirements, deliver customized solutions, and ensure satisfaction
- Meet with clients to discuss complex waste management solutions
- Analyze laboratory results and safety data sheets
- Compile technical data into comprehensive reports
- Coordinate communications responding to customer inquiries
- Investigate hazardous waste regulations and aid in waste classification
- Evaluate treatment options and comply with transportation guidelines
- Provide solutions meeting quality and regulatory standards
- Perform technical evaluations and facilitate communication between departments
- Maintain customer pricing records
- Support customer retention and business development
Requirements:
- 4 - 7 years of experience in waste disposal, chemistry, or a related field providing technical expertise
- Detail oriented, with a high level of accuracy and the ability to detect inconsistencies in data
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Keen organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documentation, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting findings in a concise format
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work within a team environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and PDF writer
