Job Description
Telehealth neurologist providing remote memory and dementia care for Local Infusion patients. Diagnosing neurological conditions and managing anti-amyloid therapy through virtual visits.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual neurology visits for new and existing patients, emphasizing memory disorders and dementia care
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage neurological conditions according to telehealth standards of care
- Partner with NPs and referring providers to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Maintain timely, compliant clinical documentation in the EMR
- Escalate complex or urgent cases according to Local Infusion clinical protocols
- Provide virtual neurology care to Local Infusion patients to increase access and reduce time to treatment
Requirements:
- Must live in Virginia and be licensed in Virginia
- Board certified/eligible neurologist
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Virginia
- Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as needed
- Experience diagnosing and managing memory disorders, dementia, or related cognitive conditions
- Experience providing anti-amyloid therapy and monitoring patients receiving these medications
- Prior telehealth experience required
- Comfortable working independently in a contract (1099) capacity with a flexible visit schedule
- Excellent communication skills with patients, caregivers, and care teams
