Job Description

Telephone Sales Representative making outbound fundraising calls for FLS Connect’s client projects. Engaging donors, soliciting pledges, and meeting daily call-efficiency goals from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound fundraising calls to solicit pledges for client projects
  • Engage potential donors in conversations
  • Follow provided and client-approved messaging on every call
  • Utilize required fundraising call structures, political reasons, and transition phrases
  • Use responsive listening to provide appropriate situational responses
  • Meet and maintain project goals and efficiency metrics
  • Maintain an 85% occupancy ratio
  • Achieve 95% on-time performance for shift starts and returns from breaks and lunch
  • Maintain 95% shift adherence/absenteeism performance
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and respond quickly to callers
  • Accept coaching and counseling positively
  • Maintain professional appearance and behavior
  • Stay focused on the current project and prepare for each call
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Center Manager
  • Have calls monitored and recorded for quality and training purposes

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
  • Must work full-time day shift Monday–Friday
  • Additional shifts may be required during peak busy season
  • Must work in the continental United States
  • Must own a computer meeting system requirements
  • Must own a USB headset
  • Must own a web camera
  • Must have a wired internet connection; no Wi-Fi
  • Must have a quiet, uninterrupted, distraction-free workspace
  • Must pass a background check
  • Identity masking or anonymization technology is prohibited, including unapproved VPNs, IP spoofing, location masking tools, anonymizers, and proxies
  • Voice changers, accent changers, speech alteration software, filters, avatars, overlays, and other tools altering voice or appearance are prohibited
  • Must present authentically during training, video meetings, phone calls, and work-related communications
  • Clear and effective verbal communication
  • Pleasant and engaging voice with good pronunciation and diction
  • Physical stamina for extended periods of telephone work
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and donor-information management
  • Comfort typing quickly and navigating software or database systems
  • Good hearing and active listening skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend scripts on a computer monitor
  • Strong reading comprehension and ability to process written material quickly
  • Ability to multitask while conversing with donors and entering data
  • Emotional resilience when handling rejection or negative responses
  • Minimum of 1 year of outbound sales, outbound fundraising, or outbound collections experience
  • High school diploma and/or some college education is a plus
  • Calls will be monitored and recorded for quality and training purposes

Benefits:

  • Paid training during weeks 1–3 at $11 per hour or state minimum wage, whichever is higher
  • Bonus potential of earning up to $20 per hour
