Job Description

Trade operations executive coordinating payments, logistics, and commodity deliveries for Drip Capital, a fintech company enabling SME global trade.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operational execution of commodity trading transactions
  • Coordinate with Buyers, suppliers, warehouses, freight providers, and internal teams
  • Maintain trackers covering payment, inventory, shipment, documentation, and delivery
  • Ensure timelines and contractual requirements are met through proactive follow-up
  • Verify payment status before goods are released for shipment or delivery
  • Coordinate with Finance/Trade Finance to confirm payment conditions and approvals
  • Ensure shipments are not released without required payment confirmation and authorization
  • Escalate payment delays, discrepancies, and exceptions
  • Maintain records of payment confirmations and release approvals
  • Coordinate inventory, quantity, quality, packing, and shipment readiness with suppliers and warehouses
  • Coordinate loading, pickup, and release of commodities
  • Ensure warehouse instructions are accurately executed and resolve discrepancies
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and other logistics providers
  • Monitor shipments from origin through final delivery, including ETAs and delays
  • Resolve transportation, documentation, and delivery issues proactively
  • Act as the operational point of contact for Buyers
  • Coordinate delivery schedules, requirements, and shipment updates
  • Manage final delivery and obtain proof of delivery
  • Resolve shortages, damages, delays, and other delivery discrepancies

Requirements:

  • Hands-on operator who takes ownership of transactions from payment confirmation through physical delivery
  • Ability to coordinate with Buyers, suppliers, warehouses, freight providers, logistics providers, and internal commercial, trade finance, and operations teams
  • Ability to monitor payment, inventory, shipment, documentation, and delivery trackers
  • Ability to verify payment status and required payment conditions before goods release
  • Ability to coordinate inventory, quantity, quality, packing, loading, pickup, and shipment readiness
  • Ability to monitor shipments, ETAs, delays, documentation, and final delivery
  • Ability to resolve transportation, documentation, delivery, shortages, damages, delays, discrepancies, and exceptions
  • Houston or New Jersey work location preference
