Job Description
Remote travel consultant researching, planning, and booking vacations for clients. Building an independent travel business through customer service and completed travel sales.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with researching and planning vacations based on their needs, preferences, and budgets
- Research destinations, resorts, cruises, vacation packages, transportation, and other travel options
- Prepare and present travel quotes and itinerary options
- Book travel arrangements through approved travel suppliers and booking platforms
- Communicate with clients before, during, and after the booking process
- Maintain accurate client and reservation information
- Process and monitor payments, deadlines, and final payment dates
- Stay informed about supplier promotions, destination updates, and travel requirements
- Participate in available training and professional development
- Build and maintain positive client relationships
- Market and grow an independent travel business
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable using computers, email, and online platforms
- Organized with good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Willing to complete training and continue learning about the travel industry
- Sales, hospitality, customer service, or travel experience is helpful but not required
- No previous travel industry experience is required
