Job Description
Vertical Operations Manager overseeing UVeye’s AI-powered vehicle inspection deployments, installations, and lifecycle services. Managing field teams, vendors, SLAs, and operational performance across automotive verticals.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure successful execution of delivery, installation, and lifecycle service activities within assigned Fleet, Rental, or Dealership verticals
- Deliver installations on time, maintain SLA compliance, scale delivery capacity, and achieve target costs
- Oversee planning, resource allocation, safety compliance, and quality for installations and maintenance activities
- Meet installation targets of 2 days for Rental/Dealership installations and 4 days for Fleet installations
- Ensure maintenance support visits have a clear scope of work and are completed on time with a first-time-right approach
- Act as the operational counterpart to Sales and Implementation teams
- Confirm feasibility of sales commitments, identify risks, and translate commitments into executable operational plans
- Manage Field Service Engineers and Service Operations Coordinators
- Achieve 80% utilization, ensure technical readiness, and develop productive capacity planning
- Manage installation partners and contractors
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance across cost, quality, and execution
- Proactively achieve operational metrics including on-time delivery, first-time fix rates, and target cost per install
- Implement proactive corrective actions
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience leading field operations, service delivery, or technical operations teams
- Experience managing distributed Field Service Engineers (FSEs) or technical field teams
- Experience in the automotive, fleet, rental, dealership, or a similar operational environment
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Customer Success, Implementation, and Operations
- Experience with capacity planning, resource allocation, and operational forecasting
- Strong understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance metrics
- Experience managing high-volume deployment, installation, or field service projects
- Experience managing third-party vendors, contractors, and installation partners
- Proficiency with ERP, CRM, or Field Service Management (FSM) systems
- Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills with the ability to make operational decisions using metrics
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and escalation management skills
- Travel to on-site locations based on business flow
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management certifications are a plus
- Ability to work in and around vehicle service areas, rental facilities, dealerships, manufacturing sites, or warehouse environments
- Ability to perform occasional manual tasks such as lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs, bending, or reaching
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate
