Job Description
Virtual doctor delivering AI-assisted consultations through AISHA’s WhatsApp health platform. Providing triage, treatment guidance, documentation, and escalation to physical care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality, patient-centered remote consultations via live video, WhatsApp, or text messaging
- Review AI-generated patient symptom summaries and history before consultations
- Deliver swift, accurate, and safe medical advice
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely patient records on the proprietary EHR platform
- Determine when cases can be managed virtually and when immediate physical referral to a clinic or hospital is required
- Provide clear, accessible health education, treatment plans, and follow-up guidance tailored to patients’ context and language needs
- Collaborate with medical and engineering teams to improve clinical protocols and AI models
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid, up-to-date annual practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
- Minimum of 3 years of active clinical practice post-housemanship
- Strong familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and standard digital documentation practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to break down complex medical jargon into simple, reassuring text or video conversations
- Quiet, professional workspace with a reliable, high-speed internet connection
- Strong bedside or “webside” manner
- Capable of building trust with patients over digital channels
