Job Description
Contract Web Software Developer building JavaScript, Java, and Oracle web applications for Capco. Implementing web services, interfaces, testing, go-live, and support across the full development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Web-based software across all layers, including highly JavaScript-focused user interfaces and Java/Oracle Database back-office components
- Propose user-friendly enhancements and designs using new JavaScript classes
- Implement software interfaces, web services, DB Links data exchange, file transfer, and file load scripts
- Develop responsive interfaces, geolocation features, database-interactive user interfaces, and user role controls
- Use web development frameworks and source code repositories
- Produce design documents, develop software, test, support go-live, and provide ongoing support
- Implement reliable, high-availability back-office interfaces
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in Web-based software development covering all layers, from user interface with extensive JavaScript to back office with extensive Java and Oracle Database interaction
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript, JSP, and web development frameworks
- Ability to implement software interfaces, including web services, DB Links data exchange, file transfer, and file load scripts
- Experience with responsive development, geolocation features, highly interactive database user interfaces, and user role control
- Experience with development frameworks such as AngularJS, Marionette, and Backbone
- Experience with web development frameworks
- Experience with source code repositories such as Subversion and Git
- Ability to cover the full development process from design documents through software development, testing, go-live, and support
- Experience developing interfaces and implementing web services with deep interaction with Oracle Database
- Experience implementing back-office interfaces in reliable, high-availability environments
- Proactivity in proposing user-friendly enhancements and designs using new JavaScript classes
