Job Description
WordPress developer building fast, secure websites and marketing integrations for an Austrian digital sales agency. Supporting tracking, automation, CRM, and AI-enabled workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Technical implementation, ongoing development, and maintenance of modern websites using WordPress and Elementor
- Development of custom page layouts, maintenance of existing websites, and technical optimization of performance, security, and user experience
- Setup, management, and optimization of web hosting, domains, DNS, SSL certificates, email servers, and databases
- Execution of website migrations and backups, as well as setup of staging environments and technical development processes
- Integration and configuration of forms, CRM systems, newsletter tools, tracking solutions, plugins, and other interfaces
- Implementation of technical requirements for lead generation, marketing automation, and digital sales processes
- Optimization of page load times, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO
- Ongoing maintenance of WordPress websites, plugin management, troubleshooting, and security updates
- Development of sustainable maintenance and backup strategies
- Technical support and optimization of social media and performance marketing platforms
- Setup and management of tracking, conversion measurement, Meta Business Manager, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics
- Implementation of technical integrations for campaigns, lead generation, and reporting
- Efficient use of modern AI tools to support development, problem-solving, automation, and documentation
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of WordPress and Elementor, with experience developing, technically managing, and maintaining professional websites
- Very strong understanding of hosting, domains, DNS, SSL, email servers, PHP, databases, caching, and website performance
- Good knowledge of HTML and CSS, plus basic knowledge of JavaScript and PHP
- Experience with child themes, plugins, and technical customizations within WordPress
- Experience with form systems, tracking, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and CRM and newsletter systems such as Zoho, Brevo, or Mailchimp
- Confident use of modern AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Perplexity, Cursor AI, or comparable solutions
- Enthusiasm for new technologies and the ability to quickly and independently learn new systems, tools, and technical solutions
- Analytical mindset, structured and solution-oriented approach, and strong commitment to quality
- Completed training or degree in computer science, web development, media technology, or a comparable qualification
- Excellent written and spoken German (at least C2 level; native-speaker proficiency preferred)
- Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an advertising, digital, or web agency
- Portfolio/work samples and details of a previous web or social media project
