Job Description
Workday Administrator managing Workday integrations, Studio, and Projects for Nava, a government technology consultancy. Supporting reliable, audit-ready HR systems for public-sector agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Build and configure Workday Business Processes, condition rules, and notifications within established architectural standards
- Administer approved Workday security changes, including role- and user-based security groups, domain security, and business process security
- Perform periodic access reviews and escalate exceptions to the HCM Manager
- Build and maintain standard and custom reports, calculated fields, and dashboards
- Perform recurring data audits, validation, and reconciliation across Workday and connected systems
- Investigate discrepancies and remediate data quality issues
- Support EIB data loads and mass data updates
- Monitor Workday releases and delivered functionality
- Perform impact analysis, configuration testing, and regression testing; coordinate UAT
- Provide first-line technical support, troubleshooting, and end-user training/job aids
- Own Workday incidents and service requests from intake through resolution, triaging by severity and business impact
- Support internal and external audit requests related to Workday configuration, access, reports, integrations, and HR data
- Monitor and support inbound and outbound integrations, including EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio integrations, APIs/Web Services, scheduled file feeds, and vendor interfaces
- Build and maintain Workday Studio integrations and partner with IT and vendors on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Lead administration of the Workday Projects module within the Finance SKU for Staffing and Program Management
- Recommend additional Workday SKUs or Projects features for Nava to invest in
- Partner with Workday Administrators and the HCM Manager to translate approved architectural and business decisions into reliable, audit-ready Workday configuration
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on Workday administration experience
- Workday certification in HCM
- Demonstrated ability to build reports and configure Business Processes across multiple Workday modules
- Experience with data loads (EIBs) and data migration
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to execute within an established architecture/governance framework and escalate appropriately to the HCM Manager
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with agile project methodologies
- Hands-on experience with Workday Studio and integration development, including EIBs, Core Connectors, and APIs/Web Services
- Ability and willingness to learn and administer the Projects module within the Finance SKU
- Experience with system integrations and API management
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to meet other requirements for applicable government contracts
- Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
- May be subject to a government background check or security clearance
- Must work from the contiguous United States
- Preferred: Workday Pro or Workday Partner Certifications relevant to the role
- Preferred: Advanced reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and RaaS experience
- Preferred: Workday integrations with third-party enterprise systems
- Preferred: Experience in a high-growth or consulting environment
