Job Description

Workday Extend Architect leading Workday Extend projects for Kainos customers. Designing, deploying, and supporting applications while guiding the Workday practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with specialist Extend consultants to ensure successful delivery of Workday Extend solutions
  • Lead Workday Extend projects with customers
  • Scope, gather requirements, document, implement, deploy, and support applications using the Workday Extend platform toolset
  • Build customer relationships and understand requirements
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with customer needs, fit for purpose, and commercially viable
  • Guide, develop, and educate others within the Workday practice on Workday Extend

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with XML, REST, SOAP, and JSON
  • Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language, preferably J2EE
  • Workday HCM certification or experience with similar HCM/ERP systems
  • Experience designing applications to solve business and technical problems
  • Good understanding of cloud computing and web services
  • Excellent customer focus and ability to assess needs, build relationships, and manage expectations
  • Strong communication skills, including in remote working situations
  • Ability to present formally to senior client audiences
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics
  • Broad business and technology understanding, with awareness of HR and HR technology industry trends
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions under pressure
  • Nice to have: proficiency in other middleware/application development platforms
  • Nice to have: proficiency in object-oriented or web development languages
  • Nice to have: experience designing workflows to solve business and technical problems
  • Nice to have: experience managing, mentoring, and developing teams
