Job Description
Field Account Executive promoting Guardant Health’s SHIELD colorectal cancer blood test to primary care providers. Driving adoption, sales growth, and healthcare partnerships across Ohio.
Responsibilities:
- Promote the SHIELD colorectal cancer blood test to healthcare providers in primary care
- Achieve or exceed sales targets through prospecting, relationship-building, and execution of national sales strategies
- Build relationships with healthcare providers and gain commitment to adopt the SHIELD test for colorectal cancer and other cancers
- Engage providers to understand needs and demonstrate how Guardant Health offerings improve patient outcomes and streamline practices
- Provide product knowledge and training to primary care practices and stakeholders to support workflow integration
- Collaborate with clinical, marketing, product, and sales leadership teams on sales strategies and go-to-market execution
- Identify new business opportunities within the territory
- Foster collaborations with regional and local laboratories to expand reach and establish phlebotomy draw agreements
- Develop and execute business plans supporting launches of new cancer screening technologies
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to inform sales tactics
- Share customer insights and opportunities with the Commercial Team
- Provide high-touch customer service and proactively resolve issues throughout the sales process
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations while managing projects and deadlines
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of customer-facing sales experience in the healthcare industry (diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical sales), or minimum of 2 years of customer-facing healthcare sales experience plus direct clinical experience in a patient care environment as a registered nurse or physician assistant
- Proven track record of success and achievement drive
- Ability to engage in selling conversations, overcome objections, and align client needs with product offerings
- Strong understanding of the healthcare provider landscape
- Ability to quickly learn and apply technical product knowledge
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Veeva, or similar platforms
- Superior negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel daily within assigned territory and occasionally nationally for sales meetings
- Ability to demonstrate curiosity, sound judgment, and critical evaluation and responsible use of AI-enabled tools in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Background screening including criminal history is required
- Preferred: Experience with diagnostic products, particularly blood-based testing or cancer screening products, directly to primary care providers
- Preferred: Familiarity with the primary care landscape in the assigned territory
- Preferred: Proven experience planning and executing product launches in healthcare or diagnostics
- Preferred: High-touch customer service and relationship-building skills
