Job Description

Account Manager leading WinField United agricultural owner relationships and account plans in Western Kansas. Delivering crop, seed, services, pricing, and portfolio solutions while driving profitable sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for assigned member-owners and customers of WinField United
  • Manage the full WinField United portfolio and develop long-term relationships with CEOs, General Managers, Agronomy Managers, and other sales leaders
  • Build trusted partnerships and make strategic connections across the system
  • Align and communicate internally with the Region Sales Director and sales team
  • Communicate the value proposition, including patronage, programs, pricing, and resources
  • Use Salesforce and other CRM tools for communication and internal coordination
  • Manage relationships with partners and manufacturers
  • Develop, implement, and execute Account Plans for assigned owners
  • Coordinate internal resources and maximize investments in the owner network
  • Measure progress, resolve issues, and communicate Account Plan execution
  • Serve as liaison between company leadership and owners on issues, changes, and daily alignment management
  • Earn owner commitment to key programs, services, and solutions across the WinField United portfolio
  • Ensure positive customer experiences and timely, successful delivery of solutions
  • Advise owners on products and services to meet growers’ needs
  • Work with Marketing to negotiate pricing and implement crop protection, seed, and services programs
  • Drive WinField United strategies at the owner level and track key metrics
  • Develop new business with existing owners and identify improvement areas, including carbon credits, grain orientation, grower financing, and prescription programs
  • Apply brand ladder strategies
  • Track competition and share market intelligence

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or business-related field plus 7–10 years of industry, direct sales, or account management experience with direct customer contact; or 11–14 years of equivalent proven work experience
  • Ability to understand the organization’s key business drivers and their relationship to profitable growth
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and formal presentation skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions and complete tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to manage multiple owners while maintaining focus on details and execution
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and influence at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and manage productivity
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Experience demonstrating agility and adapting quickly to change
  • Technical agriculture product/crop expertise and ability to develop and educate others on products, services, and programs
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Teams and Zoom
  • Experience using Salesforce and CRM software
  • Current and valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including evenings and some weekends; may require long hours during peak seasons
