Job Description
Account Manager growing strategic pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging accounts for Amcor. Driving customer partnerships, commercial growth, negotiations, and profitability across the UK and Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of established pharmaceutical and healthcare customers across the UK & Ireland
- Develop and execute account growth strategies to increase revenue, profitability, and customer engagement
- Identify customer needs, market trends, risks, and opportunities
- Build multi-level relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Create and maintain action plans supporting business growth and commercial targets
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
- Deliver value-driven solutions and coordinate internal resources for customer support and issue resolution
- Lead customer meetings, innovation sessions, product trials, and business reviews
- Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
- Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to develop tailored customer solutions
- Introduce new products, services, and innovations
- Prepare and deliver commercial proposals and presentations
- Manage contract negotiations and commercial agreements
- Support resolution of product, quality, and service-related challenges
- Own forecasting, budgeting, and sales planning for the portfolio
- Monitor account performance and deliver regular business updates
- Ensure achievement of revenue and profitability targets
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Account Management, Business Development, or B2B Sales
- Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, packaging, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is highly desirable
- Proven track record of growing customer accounts and delivering commercial results
- Strong experience managing customer relationships at multiple organisational levels
- Fluent English required
- Commercially driven with a passion for winning business
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Proven negotiation and influencing abilities
- Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into commercial success
- Analytical mindset with strong financial and business acumen
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage priorities independently
- Collaborative team player who enjoys working across functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
